12 Atoms for BIT (NANO MEMORY DRIVE)

IBM researchers have invented a new form of data storage, where 12atoms are sufficient to store a BIT of data, where as present modern status is millions of atoms per bit. These memory chips will have capacity 100times  more than the present solid state chips.IBM researchers have successfully used 12 atoms to store a bit by aligning their magnetic properties so that the group of atoms would not interfere with their neighboring group of atoms.

This invention will break the Moors law, which tells that no. of transistors in a micro chip will double for every two years.

I your present 4gb pen-drive is made with this technology , you can store all the movies that you seen from your child hood ,or even you can have a copy of YOUTUBE in your hands.

Researchers mention , it will consume many years to bring this innovation into the market, as the chips are to be made atom by atom using nano-technology , and the present 12atom formula works at low temperatures only(less than 5degrees). And they have said 120 atoms per bit can work under the room temperatures , which will be much much efficient then present this . Hope this era of nano-technology begins soon.
